RayNeo Launches iO Glasses Without Cameras or Speakers
RayNeo has introduced the iO Glasses, a screen-only wearable that eschews cameras and speakers to focus entirely on real-time text overlays and AI-driven productivity features.

RayNeo has unveiled its latest wearable, the RayNeo iO Glasses, which take a minimalist approach to augmented reality by omitting both cameras and traditional speakers. Instead, the device relies on a green waveguide display to project text directly into the user's field of view. This screen offers 97 percent transparency and achieves a brightness of approximately 1,300 nits, allowing wearers to view digital information while remaining fully engaged with their physical surroundings.
To interact with the environment, the glasses utilize four built-in microphones and a bone conduction sensor, which are designed to capture voices clearly even in loud settings. An integrated LED light illuminates whenever the microphone is active to address privacy concerns. Rather than using audio playback, the device processes conversations to generate summaries, extract action items, and suggest calendar entries, which users can accept or decline with a simple nod of the head. Additional features include a dedicated teleprompter mode and real-time speech-to-text translation supporting 40 languages.
Out of the box, the iO Glasses run on RayNeo AI alongside Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite. Users can expand the device's capabilities by opting for a monthly subscription priced at $9.99. This paid tier grants access to a broader suite of large language models, including ChatGPT 5.1, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Claude, and DeepSeek. While the specific versions of these integrated models may raise questions regarding their release timelines, they provide a diverse range of conversational options for the wearable.
