Natura, founded by former Rolling Square founder Carlo Edoardo Ferraris, has introduced its $99 Interface smart ring as a follow-up to its HumanPods earbuds. Preorders for the ring open next month, with shipping expected in December or January. Natura plans to raise the price after launch and will implement a $9 monthly subscription after an initial three- to six-month free trial. Despite manufacturing costs comparable to competitors like the Oura Ring and Samsung Galaxy Ring, the device offers a 6 to 12 day battery life and charges fully in 100 minutes.

Designed to provide round-the-clock access to AI without picking up a phone, Interface triggers voice commands through a simple finger press. At launch, the ring integrates with models and services including Claude, ChatGPT, Meta's Muse, Instinct, Grok Bot, and the NatureOS app. Users can route specific commands to different systems, such as asking Claude to code, Instinct to book reservations, or Grok Bot to handle other tasks. Agent feedback is delivered through connected headphones, iPhone Live Activity overlays, or NatureOS.

In addition to software agent interaction, the ring features hardware controls for external devices like computers and can record meetings to serve as external memory. It also functions as a health tracker, monitoring metrics such as heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stages, daily movement, step count, and skin temperature over time.

For AI practitioners, the Interface ring represents an alternative hardware form factor for ambient computing. By routing inputs to specialized third-party agents, the device demonstrates how wearable hardware can move beyond simple health metrics toward orchestrating complex automated workflows.
