Anthropic Launches Claude Academy With 355 Resources

Anthropic has introduced The Claude Academy, a centralized learning hub containing 355 free resources designed for users ranging from beginners to advanced experts. This repository aggregates tutorials, prompting strategies, and practical use cases to help developers master the company's ecosystem, including Claude, Cowork, Code, Tag, and its API. Alongside this educational push, the artificial intelligence safety and research lab rolled out Concise Mode for Claude Code, a new setting that restricts the coding assistant to shorter, more direct responses. These product updates arrive amid reports that Anthropic is planning to file paperwork for an initial public offering as early as this month.

Meanwhile, rival OpenAI has expanded its enterprise capabilities by integrating Apple Messages into ChatGPT Work and Codex. This new plugin allows users to sync their iMessages directly with OpenAI's desktop application, enabling them to search through chat threads, receive real-time updates, and reply to messages without switching windows. While Anthropic eyes a near-term public debut, OpenAI is taking a slower financial path, with Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar reportedly informing employees that the company does not plan to go public until 2027.

These platform updates coincide with a dramatic shift in how OpenAI's models source information. According to data from Promptwatch, Reddit citations in ChatGPT responses have plummeted by 86% since mid-July. The social platform's share of citations fell from nearly 4% down to roughly 0.5% on August 14th. This sudden decline marks a major departure for ChatGPT, which has historically relied heavily on Reddit as a primary source for conversational data and web search results.
